Julissa "J.M." Vasquez is a multifaceted creative professional with a background in graphic design, photography, and marketing, holding a BA in Studio Art and a minor in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida. Her strong foundation in visual storytelling led her to filmmaking, where she has gained recognition as an award-winning screenwriter, emerging director, and actress. A lifelong performer with a background in musical theatre, she continues to act and sing, starring in her two most recent short films. A member of Women In Film, her work—including her debut short Under These Same Stars and the psychological thriller The Confession—has been featured at multiple U.S. film festivals. With several projects in development, J.M. continues to craft compelling narratives that blend artistic vision, performance, and strategic communication to captivate and inspire.
